Inventory Control Specialist

HOURS: Mainly Monday - Thursday 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Fridays 8 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

SALARY: Full-time; Salary commensurate with verifiable experience; paid holidays/vacation after 90-days; health insurance available after 90-days.

We are seeking an organized, self-motivated individual with an eye for detail. Applicants must be able to work independently, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to prioritize, and be experienced in Microsoft products and with an ERP system. An Inventory Control Specialist oversees the storing, receiving, and distributing processes of our products and supplies. Main duties may include controlling the flow of supplies and parts, tracking and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

DRUG FREE WORKPLACE. All applicants will be required to have a background check and drug testing.

Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is preferred.

Experience in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and specifications is preferred.

Must have a familiarity with ERP software.

Ability to lift up to 30lbs.

Ability to operate a forklift is preferred.

Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to adhere to them consistently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees inventory and order additional products and supplies when needed.

Manages the inventory storage space in the warehouse to ensure there’s enough room to store new product shipments.

Evaluates the selection and shipping process and works to improve efficiency.

Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and updates inventory as needed.

Negotiates vendor contracts in order to maximize profit.

Stages tools, supplies, and parts for upcoming projects.

Packs and makes sure incoming/outgoing shipments are accurate and complete.

Educates warehouse employees on inventory processes.

Improves overall efficiency and overcomes inventory problems.
