We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating authentic and visually appealing sushi dishes while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Duties
Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri according to established recipes and standards
Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
Maintain a clean and organized work station
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for sushi ingredients as needed
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role
In-depth knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong attention to detail and creativity in presentation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Certification from a culinary school or sushi training program is a plus
