Installer
Coastal Railing and Fence is a leading provider of high-end, custom-built railing, fencing, and spiral staircases in the Northwest Florida area. We specialize in aluminum and glass railing and aluminum fencing installations of new-construction waterfront properties, including hotels, condos and single-family and rental homes along the gulf coast. Our office and shop are located in Ft. Walton Beach, and we accept construction contracts from Pensacola and Orange Beach, to Panama City Beach, and everywhere in between, as well as occasional out-of-town projects. Coastal Railing and Fence is currently seeking motivated, dependable individuals to join our growing team of talented installation professionals!
Position requirements:
Must have a minimum of six months construction experience
Welding and/ or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Most transportation will consist of driving or riding in company vehicles, although occasional use of person vehicles may be necessary, mainly driving to or from our shop
Carry personal cell phone with active service, as there is need for communication and updates amongst team members and supervisors throughout the workday
Checking or savings account for direct deposit of paycheck
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work extended hours as needed for specific assignments
Some overtime is optional and is offered in advance, while other times overtime is necessary on the spot and without advance notice
Role and responsibilities:
Represent Coastal Railing and Fence on job sites, upholding our strong reputation of professionalism, integrity, and high quality work
You will encounter homeowners, builders/ construction foreman, engineers, safety inspectors, and other contractors and crews who may be working, observing and/ or overseeing construction progress
It is imperative that you maintain a positive attitude and professional behavior and personal appearance
The majority of your work will be conducted in the field at different job sites, completing railing and fencing installations in the Panhandle area
Demonstrate willingness to learn, practice, and follow OSHA safety standards, such as fall prevention and protection, as well as project-specific safety protocols and other guidelines
o For example, some sites may have dress code requirements including but not limited to, pants, steel-toe boots, and safety vests
Safety is a priority at all times, whether you are at our shop, a jobsite, or anywhere else, as well as traveling to and from places while on the clock
Ability to utilize and/ or operate tools and equipment safely and properly
Must be able to lift and carry 60+ pounds.
o Loading and unloading heavy materials to and from work vehicles, and making multiple trips up and down stairs while carrying heavy loads, are part of normal daily procedures
Ability to stay on task and work with a degree of autonomy
Possesses decision-making and critical thinking skills, team player attitude and eagerness to learn and take on individual responsibilities
