All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule: Full-TimeShift : Day ShiftLocation: AdventHealth Fish Memorial – 1055 Saxon Blvd. Orange City, FL 32763The role you’ll contribute:Performs the following duties of a Clinical Leader in the assigned Nursing Services Department: Assists with the general clinical supervision, assigns admissions, and transfers received on the shift, monitors and evaluates the staffing needs of the assigned shift and the following shift. Perform the duties of a Registered Nurse in the delivery of safe, therapeutic and cost effective nursing care on the assigned unit. Uses the standard nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for the following age specific patient population: geriatrics, adult, and adolescent. Promotes an effective team environment of collaborative healthcare givers providing cost effective, quality nursing care to the patients of Florida Hospital. Demonstrates the skills of clinical and technical competence, critical thinking component for problem solving and priority setting, use of effective communication skills for conflict and confrontation management and human relationship competencies for team leading and building. Effective use of support and supervision within the FH Superior Service Standards in the clinical and hospital setting. Responsibilities include the assurance that the supervisor and their staff adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state and federal agencies and to the standards of all accrediting bodies. Understands the Computerized Physician Order Entry process and proficiently uses the electronic medical records for retrieval of patient information. Understands computer downtime.The value you’ll bring to the team:· Demonstrates competence to perform the duties of a Registered Nurse in their assigned unit. Provides nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.· Assists with the clinical needs and general supervision of the professional nursing staff and unlicensed nursing staff for the performance of competent, compassionate and cost- effective patient care outcomes in the assigned shift.· Demonstrates the ability to make appropriate patient care assignments for the nursing staff, assign admission patients and transfers patients accordingly throughout the work shift, assess for and evaluate the upcoming shift’s staffing needs. Maintain open communication at all times to Bed Placement Coordinator &/or Nursing Supervisor in assisting with guidelines for hospital through put standards.· Make recommendations to the Nurse Manager/Director of their assigned unit for improvements in the nursing care delivery process.· Provides coaching and guidance to individual nursing staff members to assist for improved performance and outcomes as needed.
