JOB OVERVIEW
I'm hiring 1 or 2 part-time SAT/ACT tutors for my company Magnolia Prep, LLC.
Magnolia Prep, LLC offers private tutoring and group classes for the SAT, ACT, and PSAT in Orlando and Baton Rouge. We are a member of the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling and the National Test Prep Association.
This position will be at our new Maitland office at 167 Lookout Place, Maitland. You will be doing 1-on-1 tutoring for the SAT/ACT both in-person at the Maitland office and also Zoom tutoring for clients who prefer that option.
The pay is $49 per hour to start (35% of $140 hourly rate), with a future pay raise to $52.50-$56 per hour after 6-12 months (we will raise your hourly rate to $150-160 once you have enough experience; 35% of $150-160 is $52.50-$56).
Training is compensated at $20 per hour.
I will train you for about a month before you start actually tutoring. Training will consist of brushing up on the SAT/ACT, learning our curriculum, and shadowing.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Score = you need a 1420 SAT or higher OR a 32 ACT or higher.
2. We request a good faith commitment of at least 1-2 years.
3. Be available roughly year-round. It's fine to take off a couple weeks for vacation or something, but nothing like "I'm going to be out of town for 3 months every summer").
4. Willing to take on at least 5 students weekly (7.5 hours).
5. Can pass a background check.
6. Have a car and a device you can bring to the office to tutor over Zoom.
7. Applicants who have already completed their bachelors degree are preferred.
