Northrop Grumman is seeking an

Associate Network Engineer. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in

Orlando, FL.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Immersive Mission Solutions (IMS) Engineering Organizational Unit (OU).

Roles & Responsibilites:
Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
  • Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor's) from an accredited institution.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Information Technology (IT), Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering (EE), or Computer Science.
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile).
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
  • Be familiar and adept with the following programs: Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7/4.0 or higher.
  • Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups.
  • Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.
  • Experience using Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, and/or other networking hardware devices.
