The Senior Accountant II is responsible for applying accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare accurate financial reports. This role reports to the Director of Accounting and oversees accounting operations within assigned areas, including the supervision of junior and staff accountants as applicable. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, developing advanced spreadsheets to support summary reports, resolving complex accounting issues, and participating in special projects as needed. The Senior Accountant II must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Timely and accurate recording of all advanced entries in accordance with the corporate closing scheduleReview and analyze financial results for assigned areas in support of month end closeCommunicate financial results and variance analysis to Management as assignedTimely and accurate review of balance sheet reconciliations and month end schedulesApprove resolution relating to reconciling itemsReview external audit work papersApprove budgets for Senior managementApprove staff entriesIdentify and develop process improvementsFinancial reporting writingGeneral understanding of GAAP principlesCarry out any reasonable request by management that employee is capable of performing
