Description Robert Half is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist on a contract to hire basis for a hospitality industry, based in Orlando, Florida. The selected candidate will be key in managing transactional accounts payable, vendor reconciliation, and assisting with month-end close operations. Provided below are the day-to-day responsibilities associated with the Accounts Payable Specialist opportunity. Responsibilities: Manage transactional accounts payable tasks ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Conduct regular vendor reconciliation to maintain up-to-date records. Contribute to month-end close operations, providing timely and accurate information. Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounts payable tasks and reporting. Ensure all invoices are coded correctly and entered into the system promptly. Follow up on approved invoices, ensuring timely processing and payment. Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable aging report to identify and address any issues. Assist in bringing shared services to the Orlando location. Promptly respond to and resolve any customer inquiries related to accounts payable. Supervise customer accounts, taking necessary actions when required. Requirements Applicant should have demonstrable experience in Accounts Payable (AP) Must possess the ability to code invoices accurately and efficiently Experience in entering vendor invoices is essential Must have the capacity to manage approved invoices systematically Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and its functions is required Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are necessary Must have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Prior experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required The candidate should have the ability to handle confidential information with discretion Must possess excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is desirable.
