As a Buyer with Westgate Resorts, you’ll play a key role in keeping our resorts running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing a broad range of products and services; including food and beverage items, operating supplies, equipment, and general services, while ensuring top-tier quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery for all properties.This role is perfect for a detail-driven professional who enjoys vendor partnerships, strategic negotiations, and contributing to operational excellence. Your work will directly support the guest experience and the success of our hospitality operations across the company.What You'll Do as a Buyer:(Other duties as assigned.)Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors while building strong, long-term partnershipsLead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms to secure the best value for the companyImplement procurement strategies that support cost savings, operational efficiency, and quality standardsProcess purchase orders accurately and efficiently, resolving any related invoicing issuesCollaborate with department leaders to forecast demand, monitor inventory, and prevent stockouts or overstockingConfirm delivery of goods and services in accordance with purchase orders or contracts prior to invoice paymentEnsure all purchased items meet required quality specifications, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines (including food safety)Monitor and document supplier performance as part of the Supplier Rating ProgramStay informed on market trends, product innovations, and supply chain conditions to advise on purchasing decisionsTrack purchasing metrics, analyze expenditures, report on cost savings, and assist in developing annual purchasing budgetsMaintain accurate documentation of purchase files, contracts, and agreements
