Description Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator role with one of our clients. The logistics clerk will be working with clients coordinating shipments. This position will include heavy data entry along with customer service skills. In your role as the Logistics Clerk, the responsibility for the processing of customer orders, including coordination with vendors and arranging shipments is also important. Perform various administrative duties
Follow-up with carriers, as necessary
Confirm freight bills and process bills of lading
Keep an eye on, trace, and maintain dispatch & progress of orders on time and to meet delivery requirements
Transmit and synchronize with inventory and sales management; warehouse; logistics for service changes
Adhere to guidelines for approving carriers Requirements - Excellent data entry skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
2+ years' experience with shipping/logistics
Skills that allow for the completion of general office work, the operation of basic office equipment, and the routing of incoming materials to the proper individuals
Candidates with experience in purchasing, inventory control, transportation and warehousing functions are going to be frontrunners for this job
Proven knowledge of About Time
Experience with Inbound Outbound Calls
Wide ranging experience with Organizational skills
Practical knowledge of Computer Programs
General familiarity with voice
Well-founded grasp of Windows OS
Customer service experience desired
Deep understanding of quality
Database experience preferred
Quality experience with Mainframe Application
Materials Handling experience required
