Experienced Civil EIT - Roadway Drainage

OverviewKimley-Horn's Orlando, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Surface Water team. This is not a remote position.ResponsibilitiesRoadway drainage design responsibilities includes existing drainage analysis, permit research, obtaining permits for design, spread analysis, ditch calculations, and ICPR 3 & 4. Technical writing desired for Pond Siting Reports, Base Clearance, Hydroplaning and Drainage Reports. Knowledge in modeling HEC-RAS, GIS, and HY-8. BS degree in civil and/or environmental engineering

EI certification or ability to obtain within 6 months

2 or more years of relevant engineering experience

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Outstanding organizational skills

Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously

Proficiency in Microstation
