job detailsThe Associate Financial Analyst, is responsible for helping ensure that lease accounting transactions are properly recorded in our financial statements. This includes the preparation of journal entries, performing monthly reconciliations and monthly reporting to management. This individual is also responsible for percentage rent, Accounts Receivable (A/R) billing related to subleases, shared Common Area Maintenance (CAM), etc., contributes to ad hoc projects, and adheres to a controls environment and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.salary: $19 - $24 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 6 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilities-Prepare percentage rent accruals, payments, and annual reconciliations-Maintain a subset of leased locations and perform regular tasks, including: remitting accurate payments to landlords/vendors; ensuring payments are made in accordance with the lease; processing CAM reconciliations and researching any costs that appear unreasonable, etc.-Communicate effectively with landlords/vendors, and other departments as needed to resolve issues-Prepare month-end journal entries and assist in reviewing and analyzing month-end exceptions and trends-Perform period-end General Ledger account reconciliations, including research and correction of any discrepancies-Oversee Subleases and Shared CAM properties processes, including: reviewing Lease Specialists' A/R monthly reconciliations and journal entries; billing subtenants, shared CAM co-tenants, and other parties for lease-related receivables; prepare monthly statements and assist leader with quarterly A/R meetings with other departments-Maintain Restaurant Opening Log which tracks opened restaurants (leased vs. owned) for each brand-Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables for month-end close processes and 10Q/10K filings-Responsible for Darden's Lease subsystem (Tango), including maintenance, reporting, testing upgrades/enhancements, and resolving issues-Ad hoc projects or analysis related to lease accounting, as needed-Backup Lease Coordinator and Lease Financial Analyst, as neededSkills
