A Snapshot of Your DayThe Head (f/m/d) of Protection, Automation, and Control (PAC) will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing all aspects of protection, automation, and control engineering starting with R&D, Proposals, and Project Execution. The rapidly changing energy landscape with increasing penetration of renewable energy sources requires you to develop an understanding of changes in the way grids are planned, operated, and serviced. You will meet with regulators, industry experts, and customers to participate, discuss and explain our value proposition. As part of a fast-growing business, you will be responsible for hiring, coaching, and leading a team of diverse professionals globally. You will develop and communicate the expectation levels and vision to members of your organization.How You’ll Make an Impact

Develop a clear understanding of the regulatory, market, and customers’ needs to ensure competitive and successful offering of PAC solutions tailored to regional needs. Ability to demonstrate value to customers to enable differentiation.

Identify product/solutions short-term to win in a competitive market and develop long-term strategy with R&D leads to evolve our substation automation portfolio accordingly.

Be the trusted partner for Sales organization by supporting customer meetings to explain the PAC portfolio, understand regional requirements and ensure compliance with local codes and standards, and work with Sales on developing regional market growth plans.

Demonstrate thought leadership presence by participating in industry alliance to develop grid of the future while positioning Grid Automation as the trusted partner in enabling customers’ energy transition journey.

Identify resource gaps and drive a culture of growth, innovation, diversity, and business sustainability.

Build-up and lead a diverse team of engineers, market specialists, and R&D project managers. Support, Develop, Guide and Promote the team helping develop a winning culture.

Coordinate with other units and segments, integrating objectives and ideas for organizational growth.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) degree in electrical engineering, automation, or similar field

Long term working experience with substation protection and control systems in energy transmission and distribution including renewable integration

Profound technical knowledge and long-standing working experience in automation technology, digital substation, and grid integration

Be a leader who is visionary with innovative mindset, who helps create the future solutions helping build the organization for long term success

Deep understanding of transmission market, with its drivers, stakeholders, and regulatory environment

A global attitude with strong intercultural sensitivity and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and partners around the world

Several years of responsibility as an engineering or project lead with strategic direction or ideally experienced in disciplinary leadership for a team or a department

Full proficiency in English and willingness to travel (30%)
