Job Title: Landfill Gas TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are currently seeking Landfill Gas Technicians to support one of our landfill sites in Orlando. You will be responsible for a variety of daily tasks to support the landfill gas systems. This includes operations, maintenance, inspections, and other tasks such as pump and flare maintenance, well raising, pipe fusion, and reading gas levels with a gas meter (GEM500 or Envisions). You will also be responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, overseeing project work, and assisting as needed.Responsibilities
Perform daily operations, maintenance, and inspections of landfill gas systems
Conduct pump and flare maintenance
Raise wells and perform pipe fusion
Read gas levels using GEM500 or Envisions gas meters
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Oversee and assist with project work as needed
Essential Skills
Mechanical background
Problem-solving abilities
Understanding of computer technologies, including Outlook and Excel
Experience with landfill gas systems, gas wells, methane, and trenching
Experience with gas meters

Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
40-hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred but not required)
2 years of experience as a landfill gas technician or pump technician
Ability to handle the outdoor conditions on a large landfill site
Work EnvironmentThis role involves 100% onsite work at a large landfill site with multiple hills and slopes, servicing 400-500 wells/connection points. You will need to walk up and down the landfill site and work outside in various weather conditions. You must own your own steel toe boots when you start (a boot voucher may be provided in certain circumstances).
