Join SEI as a Nuclear Uprate Director where you will regularly meet with our nuclear generation customers, SEI engineering, projects and manufacturing to help ensure that our products and services conform to contractual requirements and exceed customer expectations.How You’ll Make an Impact

Responsible for the oversight of the engineering, manufacturing and project management of Nuclear Power Plant upgraded equipment, such as Low Pressure Turbines, High Pressure Turbines, Generators, exciters, etc.

The Project Director will also be responsible to communicate with customer senior management to discuss regular project reviews, factory testing, factory visitations and witness points.

Monitor Engineering, Manufacturing and Erection/Commissioning targets for each responsible uprate contract. The Project Director will work in harmony with the SEI Major Projects Group PM to coordinate engineering and factory activities.

Coordinate a retained components study with engineering, project management and the implementation team to ensure that components not covered by the uprate contracts are not neglected.

Coordinate customer communications with the Siemens District Service Manager, Nuclear Operations Director(s) and Major Projects Project Manager.

Collaborate with Central Sales to help forecast and secure nuclear upgrade orders, as well as coordinate proposal status and process throughout the project.

What You Bring

Bachelors in Engineering or related, preferred (or combined equivalent of educational/work experience). 10+ years of experience in the Power Generation Industry. Experience in Field Service, Project Management or Engineering.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills! Effective presentation skills and strong ability to provide briefings to Management & Executive Level attendees.

Knowledge of component design and manufacturing processes.

Willing and able to travel abroad to SEI and vendor manufacturing facilities. Able to pass security background check and receive badge in a Canadian Nuclear power plant.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
