The role you’ll contribute:The Orthopedic Senior Research Fellow (“Fellow”) is a 12-month position designed to further the research of the AdventHealth Research Institute (AHRI) and Rothman Orthopedic Florida research program. The Fellow will utilize their clinical knowledge and skills to the development of orthopedic research studies including preparation of proposals, protocols, and procedures. The Fellow will play a lead role in the full spectrum of research activities including oversight of data collection, leading statistical analysis, development of abstracts, and preparation of presentation materials. The Fellow will attend and give seminars at the direction of program leadership. The Fellow will play a critical role to ensure that all research performed is in compliance with all AdventHealth, AHRI, local, state, and federal laws, policies and procedures. The Fellow will actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.The value you’ll bring to the team:Utilizes clinical knowledge and skills to develop orthopaedic related clinical research studies in support of the Orthopedic Institute’s strategic focus aeras.Designs, constructs and implements research proposals, protocols, and procedures.Leads analysis of research data in collaboration with Biostatisticians and other research team members.Prepares abstracts, scholarly manuscripts, presentations, and final study reports (where applicable) to communicate results of the research to the broader scientific community.Supervises data collection by Research core staff including but not limited Clinical Operations, Oncology (or Cancer Specific Core for the cc), etc.Obtains, reviews, and extracts pertinent data elements for clinical studies.Digitizes and catalogues imaging as defined per study protocols.Attends and actively participates in research meetings.Attends and gives seminars under the direction of the Scientific Director or Senior Director.Participates in Research grant application preparation.Occasional travel to AdventHealth and Rothman locations for participant enrollment activities.Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Scientific Director, Senior Director, or Program Manager.The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

Minimum qualifications :

M .D., D.O., and/or PhD or international equivalent in a scientific field

Established competency in research as evidenced by published (peer reviewed) research and/or prior work experience

Preferred qualifications:
