Why is this so important? Our Systems Specialists are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customers will help them save energy and money and create a more sustainable future for our environment. As a Project Procurement Manager, you will:
Manage the strategic sourcing and purchasing for direct and indirect IT categories, including software, software licenses, hardware, services, and materials related to IT infrastructure.
Oversee the direct and indirect procurement of contractor services, including engineering, consulting, and cybersecurity.
Negotiate contracts to achieve the organization's most favorable terms and conditions, including payment terms, pricing, service agreements, and delivery schedules.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and legal, to understand project-specific demands and requirements.
Provide leadership and guidance in vendor selection, risk management, supplier diversity programs, and sustainability efforts.
Produce cost reductions through creative negotiations and proactively identify, pursue, and capitalize on cost savings opportunities to achieve target pricing.
Implement digital procurement strategies, including electronic bidding, to solicit vendor quotations. Use internal data analytics to make informed sourcing and procurement decisions based on buying patterns and trends.
Monitor procurement performance metrics and regularly report data and progress to senior management.
You will make an impact with these qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or sourcing
Bachelor's degree in IT, supply chain management, engineering, or business
10% travel
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in supply chain management, project management, category management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and vendor management
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
Understanding or experience in the electrical grid business
Experience with international projects outside of the US

The pay range for this position is $79,700 - $136,700. The actual wage may be lower or higher depending on budget, candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
