To learn more about Conti Federal, please visit http://www.contifederal.com/ General Position Description The Project Scientist works with the Project Team and our Management to gather the required technical information to prepare Community Involvement Plans and Land Use Control Implementation Plans related to environmental remediation activities. The Project Scientist will contribute to the project team to deliver the required contract and regulatory requirements, develop and prepare plans, and contribute to building a strong customer relationship. This position is responsible for conducting historical research regarding environmental remediation activities at various US Army installations, conducting site visits as needed to meet with stakeholders and conduct visual inspections, coordinating amongst stakeholders to develop Community Involvement Plans, and drafting Land Use Control Implementation Plans for US Army Installations. Responsibilities

S upport the execution of technical projects related to environmental remediation and associated community relations.

Effectively use written and oral presentations to communicate scientific and technical information to the team, client, and general public.

Collect, interpret, and report technical data to project stakeholders.

Research, comprehend, and summarize local, state, and federal regulations relative to the project.

Prepare summary reports and compliance evaluation documents as required by the client, state, and local governments entities.

Participate and discuss technical information in online meetings.

Assist in the preparation of project related technical work plans, memorandums, meeting minutes, and reports.

Establish excellent working professional relationships with the clients and their representatives and/or field inspectors.

Understand the application of contract requirements and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

For Security Clearance Requirements – must be a US Citizen, as required.

B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, Earth or Environmental Science, Biology, or Geology, with at least three years of related environmental regulatory, compliance, and / or remediation experience.

Must possess a positive work ethic and attention to detail.

Technical report writing experience (experience with site assessment reports).

Excellent teamwork, communication, and people skills.

Solid time management system and demonstrated organizational skills. Must be able to work both independently and as a team.

Working knowledge of Microsoft suite software.

GIS ability is a plus.

OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification a plus.

Understanding of RCRA, CERCLA, groundwater, and emerging contaminants such as PFAS is a plus.

Ability to travel within United States, up to approximately 25% (few days at a time).
