The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) is currently seeking a Registered Dietitian for our Orlando, FL Canteen located at the VA Outpatient Clinic on 5201 Raymond Street Orlando, FL 32803. Responsibilities Direct Patient Feeding to include menu planning, coordinating special dietary requirements, special catering and other food production services Develop and maintain client and customer relationships Ensure safe food quality, safe food handling, and product availability Inventory control, labor cost, and budget management Ensure day-to-day compliance to JCAHO, VA, VCS and HACCP guidelines relative to food production operations Supervise assigned personnel rendering guidance, oversight and training Reports to General Manager Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Must currently be a Registered Dietitian and be able to provide documentation. Minimum 1-year prior experience in patient feeding in an in-patient setting Hands-on leadership with a strong focus on service and hospitality Proficient computer skills using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.) ServSafe certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire date Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and some nights.
