Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer responsible for supporting conceptual and detail design of advanced hardware through the full product life cycle via dynamics and structural analysisEngineer will work collaboratively with individuals from complementary disciplines within the Engineering, Manufacturing and Sub-Contracts organizations.Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of new aerospace and related products.Work with little direction and develop advanced technical principles, techniques and concepts.Proficient in dynamic/structural analysis, finite element analysis, structural/vibration testing, and test correlation.Requires knowledge of related application software such as ANSA, Nastran, Abaqus, NX, FEMAP, Patran, and HyperMesh.Communicate technical status and issues to internal and external program and functional leadership.Occasional travel to provide on-site support at customer and suppliers locations.Relocation:Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.The Locale:Orlando is a city in the Central Florida area.This region is a great place to live and to raise a family.Central Florida offers lots of attractive residential housing options.The Greater Orlando metropolitan area is the sixth largest metro area in the southeastern United States.The climate here is warm and sunny all year long for the most part.Orlando is home to the University of Central Florida (UCF), Walt Disney World, and SeaWorld.Where can you get to from Orlando?Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "Space Coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center.Tampa is about 1 and ¼ hours from Orlando.West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast.Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.MFCE&TBasic Qualifications:Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.Must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering).Must have 9 years professional experience working in a Mechanical Engineering role focused on Dynamics and / or Structural analysis.Candidate must have working knowledge with one or the following:-Structural Analysis-Shock Analysis-Vibration Analysis-Modal-Test Correlation-Modal correlationDesired Skills:Active DoD Secret Clearance.Professional, hands-on experience providing dynamics analysis support for product design.Knowledge of and modeling experience with related application software such as ANSA, Nastran, Abaqus, NX, FEMAP, Patran, and/or HyperMesh.Ability to work with little direction and develop advanced technical principles, techniques and concepts.Experience in hardware design and development.Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills.Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills for generating test plans, test reports, documentation, and potentially proposals are necessary.Mature computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
