The Opportunity:As a Senior Data Engineer, you will help lead the design, evolution, and reliability of the data platform supporting GolfNow and the broader sports technology ecosystem. You will shape data architecture, influence technical direction, and build scalable, high-quality data systems that enable analytics, reporting, and product innovation.Working at the intersection of sports, media, and technology, you will partner closely with engineering, product, analytics, and business stakeholders to translate complex needs into durable data solutions. In this role, you will help turn data into a strategic asset by strengthening the platforms and practices that support decision-making, unlock new product capabilities, and serve athletes, fans, partners, and internal teams at scale.This is a fully remote role, with opportunities for intentional in-person collaboration approximately 10% of the time to support team connection, planning, and key initiatives.What You’ll Do:Architect, build, and evolve scalable data pipelines and platforms across AWS and Microsoft technology ecosystems.Design data models, warehouse structures, and orchestration patterns that support analytics, product insights, reporting, and business intelligence.Establish and continuously improve standards for data quality, governance, reliability, observability, performance, and scalability across the data lifecycle.Partner with engineering, product, analytics, and business stakeholders to define data strategy and translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.Mentor and guide data engineers, helping strengthen engineering practices, technical decision-making, and team capabilities.Evaluate and implement new tools, frameworks, and approaches that improve the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of data operations.
