Formed in 2017 to serve federal and commercial customers, CABS is 8(a) certified and has grown quickly into a leader in the federal IT and Training environment.The Technical Writer II - Journeyman shall write technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions.Responsibilities
Analyze new and existing program requirements and engineering changes.
Estimate support requirements.
Coordinate, integrate, and implement acquisition, quality assurance, distribution, and change control tasks.
Integrate multi-format technical data
Conduct technical editing of assigned documents and other products to ensure adherence to quality and formatting standards
Provide support to draft, review, and submit technical reports, project status reports, briefing materials, memoranda, correspondence
Develop and edit traditional paper publications and emerging levels of electronic technical writing.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
A BA or BS degree in a logistics, business, management, or technical field is preferred.
3+ years of experience with developing and editing military Technical Documentation.
Secret Clearance required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to coordinate and integrate the work activities of several different projects.
Ability to communicate with others effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work out solutions to problems or questions relating to the Technical Data products.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with a cross-functional team composed of information technology, human resources and/or training and education specialists, and management professionals.
Must have extensive knowledge, skills, and abilities utilizing Microsoft Office products to include Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word programs.
Maintain a high level of integrity.
Ability to multi-task in a high-stress, performance-based environment.
Ability to meet established deadlines.
Ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences as requested.
Ability to communicate with others effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
