-Prepare and cook meals according to the recipes, menu and quality standards
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner. Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; assist with dishwashing and keeping kitchen clean.
- Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or discrepancies.
Job requirements
- Previous experience working in a restaurant kitchen or food service environment a must; including grilling and frying experience or cooking brunch.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to handle knives and other kitchen tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure meals are prepared on time
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Culinary training or certification is a plus, but not required
Skills
- Strong culinary skills with experience in menu planning and food production
- Ability to lead in kitchen
- Proficient in kitchen management, including inventory control and cost management
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
