Bento Cafe in Kissimmee, FL is looking for one grill cook to join our team. We are located on 3254 Margaritaville Blvd. Bay D120. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and hard-working. The Grill chef is responsible for all fried and grilled dishes for the entire restaurant, including the sushi bar. The dishes produced from grill are limited, but are some of our most popular items. Grill chefs must be able to prioritize and keep their orders organized so that sushi orders as well as kitchen orders do not fall behind.Responsibilities Read tickets and prepare food setups, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits (8-10 minutes at lunch; 10-12 minutes at dinner) Prepare assigned food items following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits Upkeep the highest quality of each menu item Using the proper tools- measure, mix, and prepare items Prep assigned inventory items Minimize waste of product Label all food items for food safety and shelf-life standards, and rotate product according to FIFO standards Keep work area neat, clean and sanitized Understand and comply with food handling safety and temperature standards Complete daily assigned tasks; including, opening, mid-shift and closing Routine equipment maintenance and cleanliness Aide in receiving inventory and properly stocking inventory items Follow all policies and procedures as set forth in the Bento Café Company Handbook Qualifications Good physical health and the ability to stand up to 8 hours straight Constant and repetitive movement of fingers, hands and wrists Ability to see, hear and speak Ability to stand exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity and extreme cold Ability to lift up to 75 pounds Ability to work in hectic environment Ability to attend meetings or cleanings conducted before/after hours as need be Adjust body movements or equipment controls to keep pace with speed changes of moving objects We are looking forward to receiving your application.
