The Strand is small neighborhood restaurant located on Mills 50. We opened in 2014 and have since become well known for our seasonal menu and curated natural wine list. We have received two consecutive Michelin Bib Gourmands for our chef-driven fare. Our team is a small group of close-knit individuals. We’re looking for folks that are passionate about food and community and excel in a lively, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests – greet and seat customers as they arrive
- Answer phones and take reservations
- Maintain control of restaurant floor – evenly distribute tables among servers
- Buss and reset tables
- Estimate wait times for guests and manage wait list
- Assist with any necessary tasks to improve overall dinner service (ex. water tables, run food, roll silverware, polish glassware, etc.)
We’re looking for:
- Accuracy, speed, and attention to detail when executing daily tasks
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Desire to work on a team
- Ability to follow directions and instructions
Education & Experience Requirements:
- One to two years of general restaurant or hospitality experience
- Familiarity with RESY or similar reservation platforms
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of industry best practices
Hours & Benefits:
- Tuesday – Saturday / 5:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- Closed Sunday and Monday

Starting Salary:
- Hourly tipped employee – average $25-30/hour
