Compensation: $180 per day live in pay
Schedule: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays / 730 AM to 8 AM Sunday morning
3 mandatory overnight shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and consistent live-in caregiver to support a non-verbal adult with special needs in a private home. This is a vital and long-term position for a dedicated individual who can provide attentive, professional, and compassionate care. The ideal candidate will be patient, consistent, and capable of fostering a safe and comfortable environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Safety and Supervision: Maintain constant supervision to ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times.
Meal Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve hot, nutritious, and appealing meals while following any dietary guidelines.
Daily Living Support: Assist with ALL activities of daily living (ADLs), which may include dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene as needed.
Companionship: Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging in activities that are stimulating and enjoyable for the client.
Housekeeping: Perform housekeeping tasks related to the care recipient, such as doing their laundry and keeping their living areas tidy, sweeping mopping, and lite dusting.
Medication Management: Assist with medication reminders and documentation, with proper training.
Appointment Assistance: Accompany the client to scheduled medical appointments or outings as necessary.
Communication: Document daily activities, observations, and any changes in the client's condition, and communicate clearly and promptly with family members.
BE available for any urgent needs throughout the night.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Prior experience caring for a non-verbal adult with special needs is highly preferred, but not necessary, will train.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check (FBI / FDLE).
Possess strong physical stamina to assist with mobility and other physical tasks.
Reliable, consistent, and punctual.
Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Excellent cooking skills, with the ability to prepare hot, healthy meals.
Empathetic, patient, and professional demeanor.
