Responsibilities of a Maintenance Assistant:
Assist in the maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
Use computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders and document repairs
Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Fabricate and weld components as needed
Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems
Supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects
Qualifications for a Maintenance Assistant:
Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
Experience with facilities maintenance and repair
Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems
Proficient in English, both written and verbal
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Basic welding skills preferred
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Leadership skills to supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects
