Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled ASE Certified Diesel Mechanic with expertise in maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing mini excavators, trenchers, compactors, pumps, and other construction equipment. This role requires a strong foundation in all aspects of diesel mechanics and the ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repair on diesel engines and heavy-duty construction equipment.
Diagnose and fix mechanical and electronic issues with precision.
Conduct regular service and safety checks to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Apply welding techniques for equipment repair and fabrication when necessary.
Handle maintenance of small engines included in various construction equipment.
Collaborate with the team to maintain inventory and order parts as needed.
Keep detailed records of serviced equipment and report on maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
ASE Certification in Diesel Mechanics is required.
Proven experience working with heavy equipment such as mini excavators, trenchers, and compactors.
Strong skills in welding and fabricating metal components.
Experience in maintaining and repairing small engines.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
