Job Overview:
The Pool Service Technician is responsible for providing maintenance for both residential and commercial swimming pools and spas. This includes cleaning, chemical treatment and system checks. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform routine cleaning of pools and spas, including skimming, brushing, and vacuuming.
-Test and adjust chemical levels to ensure water safety and balance.
-Inspect and maintain pool equipment (pumps, filters, heaters, etc.) and diagnose issues as needed.
-Maintain accurate records of services performed, including chemicals added.
-Provide excellent customer service by answering client questions and explaining pool care procedures.
-Ensure safety standards are followed during service visits.
-Conduct opening and closing of pools for seasonal changes.
-Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and chemicals.
-Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and team members regarding scheduling and customer needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience in pool service or a related field preferred.
-Skills:
Knowledge of pool and spa systems, chemicals, and equipment.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Basic mechanical and plumbing skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
-Licensing/Certification:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is preferred or willingness to obtain it.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Capability to perform tasks that require physical exertion such as kneeling, standing, and walking for extended periods.
