Full Time Day Porter
Summary: The Full Time Day Porter works with the Maintenance Team and is responsible for maintaining the appearance and upkeep of the community. Our goal is to always provide clean and acceptable curb appeal for our mixed use residential & commercial community.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Clean compactor area (compactor and bins)
Rotate compactor bins and empty all trash
Pick up exterior grounds; remove litter/debris from walkways, sidewalks and parking lots
Pick up interior grounds; remove litter/debris from breezeways, hallways and chute rooms
Sweep, mop, vacuum
Clean elevators
Clean stairwells and railing
Clean breezeway ceiling fans
Lightbulb replacement
Clean/Replace window screen
Paint curbs, floors, exterior walls, gates, parking, etc.
Replace trash bags
Cobweb cleaning
Pressure wash walkways, sidewalks, exterior walls, awnings, etc.
Clean store front exterior window
Breezeway screen replacement (as needed)
Remove bulk trash items
Light landscaping
Handle and mix chemicals properly
Assist with maintenance duties when requested
Operate company vehicle when requested by Supervisor & Manager
Operate pressure washer/trailer
Replace filters
Pick up and transport bulk item trash, and compile at trash enclosure or dispose of at dumpster
Able to work in a team setting, but also independently
On rotation for 1 weekend day every 2 - 3 weeks or as needed
Other duties assigned by management
Valid Driver License Required
Physical Requirements:
Constant walking
Use of stairs
Use of ladders
Able to work outside in all weather conditions
Frequent lifts and carries up to 45 pounds
Occasionally lifts and carries up to 80 pounds
Pushes and/or pulls (dumpster 2-yard bins) up to 350 pounds
Frequently bends/stoops, climbs stairs, kneels, reaches above shoulder height, walks, and twists
Operate pressure washer
Use of backpack blower
Use of shovels; digging
Extension poles
Able to use mobile phone for mobile work order system
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
