Technical Skills
Basic Tool Knowledge
Identify and use hand tools (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, sockets)
Operate power tools safely (impact wrench, drills, jacks)
Vehicle Maintenance Support
Assist in oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
Replace air filters, spark plugs, and batteries
Parts Handling
Identify, retrieve, and organize automotive parts
Assist in parts installation and removal
Workplace Safety & Cleanliness
Follow safety protocols (eye protection, lifting techniques)
Clean and maintain work areas and equipment
Basic Diagnostic Support
Read and interpret basic error codes or service lights
Assist in inspecting components for wear or damage
Lifting and Jacking
Properly use floor jacks, jack stands, and vehicle lifts
Vehicle Prep
Wash, vacuum, or prep cars before or after service
Help move vehicles in and out of the service area
Attention to Detail
Carefully follow instructions and spot potential problems
Teamwork
Work closely with mechanics and service advisors
Communication Skills
Ask questions when unsure, clearly report progress or issues
Time Management
Complete tasks efficiently without rushing
Willingness to Learn
Show interest in gaining more mechanical knowledge
Reliability & Punctuality
Show up on time and be ready to work
Physical Stamina
Able to stand, bend, lift, and move around for long periods
Compensation:
- $17-$20 per hour.
