Ranch/Farm Hand / Groundskeeper / Handyman for a 15-acre home and farm in a peaceful rural setting, working for a small family farm, not a large corporation. No farm experience is necessary, but you MUST love animals.
Responsibilities include:
-Assisting with the care and handling of livestock including cattle, poultry, goats, miniature donkeys and barn cats
-Feeding the animals
-Maintaining clean waterers for animals
-Maintaining an organized, clean barn and workspace
-Daily sweeping barn and removal of spider webs as needed
-Cleaning livestock stalls and coops
-Pasture maintenance
-Occasional fence repairs
-Lawn maintenance including mowing, weedwacking, edging, trimming etc
-Maintaining clean ceiling fans, light fixtures and security cameras
-Light handyman work including minor carpentry, assembling purchased supplies, painting, irrigation repairs, pressure washing
-Other miscellaneous tasks as required
Job requirements:
-Must work efficiently
-Must have reliable transportation
-Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
-Acceptable background check and driving record
-Clean drug screen
-Work performed as a 1099 independent contractor
-Non-smoker preferred
-Ability to speak Spanish a plus
-Ability to operate a tractor a plus
-Ability to pull a trailer a plus
-Previous work experience on a farm a plus
Hours: Up to 28 per week.
Pay: Up to $18/hour, depending on experience.
