We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Large Format Printer Operator & Graphic Designer. If you have experience with large format printing, customer service, and are skilled in Adobe Illustrator and VersaWorks, we want to hear from you!
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating large format printers, providing excellent customer service, and possess strong graphic design skills, particularly in Adobe Illustrator.You will be responsible for setting up and running large format print jobs, ensuring print quality, troubleshooting issues, and assisting in the design process for custom orders. Must have reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain large format printers (preferably Roland or similar).
- Utilize VersaWorks RIP software to set up, color manage, and produce print jobs.
- Prepare print-ready files in Adobe Illustrator and ensure designs are optimized for large-scale output.
- Work closely with the design team to create custom graphics for clients.
- Troubleshoot print and software issues and perform routine printer maintenance.
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs, provide guidance on design and printing options, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage time effectively to meet production deadlines and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Must have experience:
- Operating large format printers and working with VersaWorks software.
- Graphic Design Skills: Proficient in Adobe Illustrator; ability to create and modify vector graphics and prepare files for print.
- Strong understanding of color theory, print production, and file setup for large format prints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for printers and related equipment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite software (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, print production environment.
- Familiarity with additional printing software or hardware is a plus.
