The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all buildings and the surrounding grounds. The Custodian is responsible for the overall appearance of the facility, and duties include vacuuming floors, cleaning and sanitizing to include restroom facilities, collecting trash, mopping, dusting where needed, and additional duties as assigned to ensure clients, employees, and visitors have a neat and clean space.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
Ability to stand and walk for long periods. Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds. Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools. Time-management and multitasking abilities. Physical strength and stamina. Organization skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience as a Custodian or Janitor. Experience in the safe handling of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals. Must have the ability to verbally communicate, read, write, and interpret documents and instructions in English.
