POSITION OVERVIEW

Kitchen/Bath designer and sales representative for the largest Euro kitchen manufacturer in central Florida with over 40 years in business. Company provides showrooms in Altamonte Springs and Orlando, kitchen and bath design software, on-site production & in-house delivery to support obtaining new customers, and promotion of products with builders and retail customers. Responsible for growing sales in central Florida, selling cabinetry, countertops, and other building products for new construction, kitchen and bathroom remodels, media rooms, libraries, wet bars, outdoor kitchens, closet systems, multi-family, and commercial applications. May train right person.

A. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

1. Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.

2. Travels throughout target territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.

3. Displays, demonstrates and explains product lines.

4. Travels to jobsites to do product take offs on site, or according to architect plans.

5. Coordinates pricing and credit terms with customers and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.

6. Estimates date of delivery to customer, keeps customer apprised of progress in meeting scheduled milestones.

7. Prepares and generates reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.

8. Ensures that new customer data and other sales data for current customers is entered into computer database.

9. Investigates and resolves customer problems.

10. Prepares an annual sales budget with guidance from sales management.

11. Visits job sites to work with customers on collateral sales opportunities.

12. Coordinates with subcontracted installers to ensure professional and on-time installation.

13. Performs market research on new product opportunities.

14. Uses computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.

15. Sketches rough layout of cabinets and countertop and computes angles, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and location of holes.

16. Utilizes knowledge of various cabinet and countertop engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.

17. Drafts detailed multi-view drawings of cabinets, countertops, and products.

18. Communicating and reviewing revised prints with customer and installer.

19. Coordinates with purchasing in ordering doors, hardware and other materials.

20. Provides quotes for customers prior to drawing up contracts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE — Two years minimum experience in cabinet sales. Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.

LANGUAGE SKILLS — Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS — Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as discounts, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

OTHER SKILLS/CERTIFICATION — CAD softwares (20-20, Autodesk or Cabinet Vision). Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). CKD, CBD and/or ISD certifications. A valid Florida Drivers License.

REASONING ABILITY — Ability to define problems; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Proper safety equipment such as protective eyewear, earplugs, steel toe shoes may be required in production or jobsite areas.
