Title: Data Engineer
Duties:
Design data pipelines to ingest large data from different data sources such as Structured, Unstructured, and Semi structured data.
Carry Out the pre-processing of structured and unstructured large datasets.
Analyze large sets of data by applying statistical methods like statistical tests, distributions, regression, maximum likelihood estimators, etc.
Clean and ingest the data into relational and non-relational databases using statistical methods.
Develop new models to analyze data using programming languages like Python/R and associated libraries.
Visualize the large datasets using data visualizations tools, for example Power BI, Tableau, JupyteR, Google Charts, etc.
Deliver verbal and written presentation of the results based on the data analysis and mathematical modeling and data analysis to management and end users.
Enhance the data collection procedures to include all the relevant information for designing and developing data analytic software systems.
Identify business problems or management objectives that can be addressed through data analysis and visualization.
Research and propose solutions to business problems, such as budgeting, staffing and marketing decisions, using data analysis.
Design and Develop Enterprise level web, GIS and mobile applications for capturing and visualizing the data based on the customer needs.
Research to identify emerging data analysis trends to come up with the most optimal solutions in data analysis and analytics problems.
Recommend enterprise level data driven solutions to end users by analyzing and identifying the patterns and outliers of the source data sets.
Develop, test and train machine learning models to ensure accurate predictions of outcomes of interest.
Support design, develop, test and deployment of enterprise data driven solutions.
Education: U.S. Master of Science in Computer Science, Business Analytics and Project Management, or a closely related field.
Experience: 12 months experience in the job offered, or as a Technology Analyst, Python Developer or closely related occupation. Experience to include 12 months of experience in:
Execute security measures for ETL processes and databases, define access controls. Apply data validation and cleansing routines using Linux Shell scripts to maintain data quality and integrity.
Optimize ETL processes and SQL queries for improved performance.
Design and develop Python scripts to receive and process the data from different data sources and load the data into a relational database.
Develop test cases and test automation suites for the business functionalities using the Python Unit Testing
framework that can be integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
Hours: Number of hours per week: 40
Daily Work Schedule: Mon to Fri 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
