Historic Window Restoration LLC is seeking a skilled Craftsperson to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the preservation of historic windows, focusing on repair, refinishing, and restoration. As a Craftsperson, you will work with care to maintain the historical integrity of each piece, combining techniques in woodworking and painting to ensure quality craftsmanship. Physical stamina and the ability to work in varying weather conditions are essential.
Responsibilities: Perform restoration, repair, and refinishing work on historic windows Utilize traditional woodworking techniques and knowledge of historical preservation to maintain quality and authenticity Act as a Painter, restoring windows with specialized techniques while preserving historic architectural elements Conduct on-site repairs, refinishing, and painting in adherence to safety guidelines Maintain excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail Collaborate with team members to complete projects while working effectively in independent settings
Qualifications: Proven experience in woodworking, carpentry, and restoration techniques Knowledgeable in historical preservation practices, materials, and traditional woodworking methods Strong attention to detail, quality, and craftsmanship Physical stamina, good manual dexterity, and ability to work in diverse weather conditions Professional experience with painting, including various painting techniques and tools Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Familiarity with historic window construction, wood types, and materials
