Hi Craigslist f(r)iends! I helped a beloved ex GF move from our NYC to Sanford: & then Fell in Love with the town & bought my own 2nd/vacation & rental home. After I won a larger just land lot at auction in Enterprise/Deltona, but that is another story.
It is the last week of work that my current contractors-a couple-have available.
I need someone immediately to work at my & his direction, then continue as needed to finish the job.
Basically it involves putting in a kitchenette, a bathroom & putting in a new entrance.
The wiring for the building needs some improvement, with an assessment & fix done of electrical in the attic.
Offer + Pay: I have had people working for room & board only, & one young lady remains-with expertise & a former business in general painting, cleaning, & in restaurant & chef work.
I offer room & board-there is a large room & bathroom available-& I stock up the refrigerator & take requests!
This is available at least for a month: & the possibility of a longer stay based upon the job completed + what rooms are available as I rent out the place through "Evolve" on platforms such as VRBO & Air B & B.
If the whole place is rented out in part or entirely a month later, besides that I have a 12 X 20 Khaki gazebo that I would put up for anyone to stay in longer IF they really needed the place
I would allow a great worker to stay free for short stays when rooms are unrented.
It will be offered 3 ways: as a 3 bedroom, as a 1 bedroom, & the beautiful stand alone Mother in Law Suite.
ALSO I am offering $1000 for completing these tasks, where you also have the help & guidance as needed of my contractor Marty (his wife does other things such as design & painting).
I expect the kitchenette & bathroom done within a week, or shortly thereafter.
Then I just need to keep the garage door on but put front doors on it to convert it into a 5th bedroom for vacation rental, & one day put up the front patio gazebo I purchased!
I want a community of like-minded people, especially artistically inclined, to host or being in free-& support their performances, sales, absent any charges.
Eventually there may be work when for the prefabricated HOME/accessory dwelling unit that I plan to plop down on the property.
We are BOTH incentivized to get it done ASAP: for me that means that like the Mother in Law Suite, I can have photos taken & have it listed as a vacation rental immediately, so the house begins to become self-supporting!
For YOU, if the construction is finished sooner, you can focus on the somewhat lesser work of "tuning up", the existing systems such as wiring, & maybe things like painting if still needed-& have much more free time.
I must have someone who will work hard from the time my contractor arrives early, but he almost always is done no later than around 4:30 PM.
After this then you can work at a relaxed pace on what needs to be completed, but if you have other responsibilities that day, then anything done into the evening is optional.
I need to check references, we already had one bad experience with someone who was very difficult, lazy, had a problem with authority& vandalized the plumbing & departed-although he had just been begging me to stay & offering to pay me to do so.
