Job Description: HVAC Installer

Position Overview: The HVAC Installer plays a crucial role in the successful installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position involves working closely with the installation team, following technical specifications, and ensuring the safe and efficient installation of HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Setup: Install a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and ductwork, following manufacturer guidelines and technical specifications.

Assemble and connect components, such as compressors, motors, thermostats, coils, and electrical wiring.

Ensure proper placement of equipment to optimize performance and energy efficiency.

Ductwork and Ventilation: Fabricate and install ductwork to distribute conditioned air throughout buildings.

Properly seal duct joints to prevent air leaks and ensure efficient airflow.

Install and connect ventilation components to maintain indoor air quality.

Electrical and Controls: Wire electrical components, including motors, relays, thermostats, and control panels, in accordance with wiring diagrams and safety regulations.

Test and calibrate control systems to ensure accurate temperature and humidity control.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and industry regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.

Identify potential hazards and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.

Quality Assurance: Inspect and test installed equipment to verify proper functionality and performance.

Identify and rectify any issues or discrepancies in the installation process.

Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers professionally, providing explanations of the installation process, addressing their questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Documentation: Complete installation records, equipment documentation, and work orders accurately and promptly.

Provide clear and comprehensive reports to supervisors and clients.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the installation team to ensure efficient project execution.

Assist in training and guiding less experienced team members.

Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to HVAC installation.

Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or vocational training in HVAC installation preferred.

Relevant certifications such as EPA 608 certification and others based on local regulations.

Proven experience as an HVAC installer, with knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and installation procedures.

Familiarity with electrical wiring, controls, and basic troubleshooting.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications accurately.

Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks in varying weather conditions.

Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Must-Have and LLC and Workman's Comp Exemption

Must-Have Vehicle to Transport the Units being installed

Working Conditions:

The HVAC Installer typically works both indoors and outdoors, often in varying weather conditions. The job may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Proper safety equipment and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent accidents. The role may involve occasional travel to project sites, with the potential for overtime and weekend work to meet project deadlines.

Salary: $550.00 - $2,105.00 per week
