We are seeking skilled and experienced carpenters for onsite installation for a tradeshow at the Orange County Convention Center on April 13-15.
You will be responsible for assisting in the installation of custom builds and must
have knowledge of special event fabrication, staging, and installing retail
displays.
This is a Seasonal position. The hours of this position vary, based primarily on
the scheduling of each event.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interprets technical drawings & reports back to the Department Manager and/or
Build Lead with questions, comments, concerns.
Gathers and tracks all required tools, equipment, and hardware for the appointed
projects.
Acts as an installer on the job site and helps manage the site activities to ensure the install is completed on time and
up to the standards of the Fabrication + Project team.
Troubleshoot issues with Project Manager + Install Team
Duties include but are not limited to measuring, cutting/use of power tools, jobsite setup/clean-up, manual labor
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be experienced with hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery
Able to lift up to 75 pounds
Possess the ability to follow directions, plans, blueprints, and sketches.
Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and possible holidays to meet the varied
needs of the event industry
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must possess professional interpersonal skills to interact with clients
Must be accurate, detail orientated – with the ability to operate well under pressure
EXPERIENCE
2-5 years of on-site installation experience
1-2 years of construction event industry experience
