Our PAT (Probe, Assembly & Test) Operations Group is looking for a talented Staff Process Engineer to join our team in Palm Bay, FL. We develop and manufacture Radiation Hardened ICs for the Space Industry — work that demands precision, reliability, and engineering excellence at every step.In this role, you will develop and qualify high-reliability semiconductor assembly processes and equipment, advancing them from concept through to manufacturing readiness. You'll work across a range of established and evolving packaging and assembly process technologies that directly support mission-critical space applications.Primary ResponsibilitySustain and improve high-reliability semiconductor assembly processesIdentify and procure new equipment for process enhancementInvestigate root causes of assembly losses and develop methods to eliminate themAnalyze manufacturing data to drive process improvementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the robustness of manufacturing systemsSupport the introduction of new products into the manufacturing lineProvide technical expertise in support of customer needsValidate and verify processes in the Quality Conformance Inspection (QCI) areaDesign and qualify tooling used across various assembly processesPreferred Skills5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in a high-mix environment is a plusCAD experience is highly desirable; Fusion 360 proficiency preferredFamiliarity with Statistical Concepts as applied to manufacturing (e.g., Mean, Std. Dev., SPC, Gage R&R, ANOVA)Familiarity with Manufacturing Equipment such as XYZ robots, wire bonders, die attach systems, ovens/furnaces, and conveyor beltsFamiliarity with Assembly Processes including epoxy dispensing, underfill/film attachment, wirebonding, hermetic sealing, and related techniquesExperience with additive manufacturingExperience with Mil-Std environmental testing
