Robert Half has an interim opportunity for an experience Project Manager with a demonstrated history in project management. In this role, the Payroll Manager will have an opportunity to manage all aspects of payroll operations, including vendor management, systems, and processes & integration. You will also dedicate your time to creating timely, accurate, and compliant payrolls, making improvements to currently existing processes, and creating exceptional customer experiences. Manage pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures, as well as troubleshoot anomalies
In this position, you will work on weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs. Interpret pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and ensure right amounts/deductions are applied to the earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
Ensure record keeping and control systems to provide internal safeguards
Manage and complete payroll analysis
Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis
Consistently review and enhance processes by suggesting and leading projects
Run payroll operations and manage staff members
Give information and data to senior executives and cross-functional business leaders and respond to any questions
Set and work toward goals with other members of senior Finance leadership team
Monitor audits, internal and external
Form and grow a team and guide it to success Requirements - Less than one year of experience preferred
A candidate with strong interpersonal skills will be the best fit for this position
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Certified Payroll Profession (CPP) certification favorable
Project management experience
Hands-on experience with Request For Proposal
Foundational knowledge in pricing
Proven knowledge of Vendors
Solid understanding of Commodity Management
