Job Summary
An S88 Community Based Officer (CBS) is an officer that has completed all appropriate on-line and physical training modules, taken and passed a drug test and background check, and is ready for duty in a field or dress uniform as defined under Uniform in the S88 Officer Standard Operating Procedures. Basic duties include protecting a site in a fixed location. All duties listed below are minimum requirements additional duties listed in the sites Post Orders are requirements as well.
Responsibilities and Duties
Retail Strip Location the officer must maintain a high level of professionalism that represents Signal 88 and the client in the highest light.
Employee Interaction upon arrival for duty, the officer walks through all stores that have hired S88 so presence is known by the customer.
Customer Interaction - each customer where contact is made must be treated in a kind and helpful manner.
Employee Escort - the officer provides security escort for employees or customers to vehicles or other designated locations as requested.
Reporting - officer must report detailed information about what was seen and heard. This duty is imperative as this is the means by which the customer receives from S88. There will be specific reporting task that will be completed. The Operations Manual and post orders includes specific details on how to write clear and accurate Activity Reports
Qualifications and Skills
Must have a valid Class D security License
18 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED
Pass background investigation
Pass drug test
Must have reliable transportation
Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
Works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members
Ability to conform to established procedures and to help identify and solve problems
Ability to get along with other employees, follow directions, work under stress, add value and continuously improve
Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Must be willing to stand continuously for long periods of time.
Must have a Smartphone and willing to use it for work purposes.
Must be able to work overnight til 7 am.
