Job Summary:
The Assistant Branch Manager’s role is to assist the Branch Manager with all aspects of branch operations to ensure a profitable outcome for the company. The Assistant Branch Manager works closely with the Branch Manager with procedures for that branch, managing staff, and ensuring the branch business plan is linked directly to the corporate plan.
Essential Job Functions:
Includes, but is not limited to, the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions may be required as deemed necessary by management personnel to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Assists with coordination all branch operations including the appropriate use of all physical resources.
Manage upkeep and condition of all equipment, plant, fixtures.
Liaison with suppliers, merchandisers and other partners.
Recruit, train and develop staff.
Monitor competitor activity, pricing and tactics.
Advertising and promotional strategy and activities in line with budgetary parameters.
Contribute to company strategy and policy-making.
Manage customer service activities and staff competence in these areas.
Manage costs and overheads, and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the branch.
Manage branch costs and overheads
Maintain safety requirements
Provided paperwork to corporate as required
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and computer skills in excel, word, etc.
Minimum of 3 years in assistant management of a service, warehouse or construction branch
Required Skills:
Broad understanding of Safety Requirements
Ability to take initiative, own tasks, and be flexible regarding changing priorities
Ability to understand workflow, identify process improvements, summarize issues, and make recommendations to management.
Experience assessing and preparing documentation related to operational processes.
Ability to strategically think through initiatives, issues and opportunities while contemplating unintended consequences
Strong communication, time management and presentation skills
Maintain MVR requirements.
