And our work depends on a Program Manager joining our team to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) customer activities in the Atlanta, GA.At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Program Manager supporting the CDC customer, you will be trusted to to manage a complex information technology program supporting one of our clients at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Program Manager will apply methods and maintain tools to track program, project, and task performance data, including cost, schedule, and performance data. The candidate will manage a large team of team leads, technical resources, and subcontractors. The candidate will support all facets of contract administration and delivery including financials, monthly corporate reporting, subcontractor management, staffing, timesheets, invoicing, and documentation required by the company and CDC. Further, the candidate will support financial reporting components of the program to include capturing and maintaining quantity-based statistics to maintain forecasting and actuals, and generation of monthly invoices. Tasks may include planning, initiating, managing, executing, and closing out small and large-scale projects in support of the department’s mission. The candidate will interact extensively with CDC business stakeholders, CDC line of business leadership, CDC system/product owners, and the COR, and is expected to document and resolve any issues that arise.In this role, a typical day will include:Provide program management services on operations and maintenance and implementation initiatives.

Manage and lead multiple Task Orders and Task Order Leads as a cohesive large-scale program.

Supports efforts through design, development, and implementation of organizational and technical initiatives.

Identifies leading practices and operational improvements and creates and assesses performance measurements.

Collaborate with client to define future state vision, and plan and execute roadmap from current state to future state.

Generate milestone schedules to deliver functionality for target state of financial applications, and periodically provide updates on progress and deviations affecting schedule or quality

For each application, assess risks, constraints, and resources required to meet client objectives for each financial application

Document CDC requests via Action Items and develop materials to respond to these requests

Prepare ad hoc and periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly) presentations and reports and present them to CDC stakeholder(s)

Capture and report on quantity-based performance metrics used to track core project functions for status reporting and invoicing

Utilize professional judgment, critical thinking skills and research to improve program processes and resolve issues affecting program performance

Manage the program’s risk management process, on/off-boarding processes, status reporting, and support Action Item management.

Manage on-time submission of quality contract deliverables to CDC

Manage program financials, forecasts, ETC and EAC, and not-to-exceed funding ceilings

Proactively engage GDIT support organizations for effective delivery of program services, i.e. Contracts management, Sub-Contracts management, Financial management, Human Resources, Line of Business management.

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Management, or other technically related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience or no relevant degree and 7+ years of relevant experience.

Experience running multiple Software Development Projects

Experience with Agile software development

Experience with design, development, enhancement, and operation and maintenance of IT products

Must have demonstrated experience managing Federal and/or commercial implementations and/or O&M of enterprise-wide financial, budgeting, and/or acquisitions applications, or equivalent applications.

Must have increasingly responsible experience defining, implementing, and managing project processes

Must have increasingly responsible experience leading software development or business process automation projects or programs

Must have increasingly responsible experience managing contracts or task orders of similar scope, size, and complexity

Must have demonstrated experience presenting to and engaging with client leadership

Good team player, able to manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing client needs

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:SDLC experience, change management, agile development, Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification Scrum Master certification Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other technically related discipline, or MBA. Duties and Responsibilities: Personally directs or through subordinate supervisors, supervises the maintenance and repair of micro market equipment and vehicles, scheduling of adequate supply of products and services, maintaining operating records and reports, security of products, cash and equipment. Ensures that micro markets are maintained in accordance with sanitation regulations and properly filled and serviced. Responsible for achieving the NEXCOM departmental net contribution goal. Works under the general direction and supervision of the manager who outlines policies, procedures and objectives. Operates independently, within established policies, procedures and regulations.
