Collections Specialist

Description We are inviting applications for a Collections Specialist to join our team in Pinellas Park, Florida. This role primarily revolves around the functions of Accounts Receivable and Collections. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, answering inbound queries, and implementing effective collection processes. Responsibilities: Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Process and manage customer credit applications with high accuracy. Ensure customer credit records are up-to-date and correctly maintained. Implement effective collection processes and strategies to ensure timely payment of accounts. Utilize accounting software systems to manage and track customer accounts. Engage in regular communication with customers to ensure their satisfaction and resolve any potential issues. Monitor the status of customer accounts and take proactive action when necessary. Participate in the administration of claim processes. Contribute to the overall efficiency of the team by assisting with other tasks as and when required. Continuously update skills and knowledge in accounts receivable and collection processes to ensure best practices are always followed.This is a permanent position that will pay up to $70,000 depending upon experience. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role or related field Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Demonstrable experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to handle and respond to inbound calls effectively and professionally Proven experience in claim administration Familiarity with collection processes and relevant laws Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and attention to detail High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
