Description We're recruiting on behalf of our client in the healthcare management field, a leading company in supplemental benefit solutions. They're seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team. In this role, you'll be crucial to maintaining the financial health of the organization, contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting, participating in the year-end audit process, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.Key Responsibilities:Post journal entries for month-end close, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Conduct balance sheet reconciliations before month-end close, ensuring completeness and accuracy.Review monthly P& L and perform flux analysis for proper expense recording.Manage ASC 842 Lease Accounting activities, ensuring accurate entries and reconciliations.Track Fixed Assets, reconcile related accounts, and import data into the ERP system.Reconcile and monitor Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Liabilities, and other accounts.Perform Bank Reconciliations daily.Establish processes for reviewing accounts related to restricted cash and accruals.Collaborate with auditors during year-end audit, providing necessary documentation.Evaluate accounting processes, identify areas for improvement, and streamline workflows.Take on ad-hoc projects to contribute to the success of the finance team and the organization.Critical Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with US GAAP proficiency.3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.ERP system proficiency, familiarity with NetSuite or other Oracle ERP systems is advantageous.Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.Track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate cross-functionally.Strong Excel skills, including look-ups, pivots, and data normalization.CPA is a plus, but not required.The company offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a dynamic work environment. Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Skilled at time management
Strong attention to detail
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
Current and relevant ERP system experience
