Description We are on the hunt for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry, based in Pompano Beach, Florida, United States. In this role, you will be expected to handle high-level accounting, managerial accounting, and oversee the financial activities of the company. This role will involve ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes Handle balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting activities Prepare journal entries and perform the month-end close process Conduct regular ledger reconciliation and manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, etc. Stay updated with industry and financial trends while maintaining a deep understanding of the specific industry's rules and regulations Utilize Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks Handle bank reconciliations and conduct internal audits Prepare financial reports for management officials Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, etc. Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting. Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Accountant in the manufacturing industry Strong understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, preferably SAP, Oracle, and NetSuite Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Comprehensive knowledge of preparing journal entries and managing trial balance Ability to analyze financial reports and forecasts Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices Relevant certification (e.g. CMA, CPA) is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
