All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule: Per DiemLocation: 5821 S WILLIAMSON BLVD, Port Orange, 32128The role you’ll contribute:Direct reporting to the Supervisor, this position is accountable for providing services to patients, referring physicians, and internal customers by ensuring that the procedure scheduling processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner, meeting all defined goals of operation and maximizing efficiency and productivity to produce high levels of customer service. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.The value you’ll bring to the team:

Promptly answers incoming calls in a professional and Friendly manner.

Gathers required information for procedure scheduling and enters it into the system in a timely and accurate manner.

Utilizes appropriate resources (technologists, supervisor, etc) when scheduling an unfamiliar procedure.

Demonstrates proper communication and customer service skills when handling difficult customers.

Accurately creates deletes and/or changes schedules procedures in the computer system.

Assists in all areas of the department as needed and is able to perform any work appropriate to the position in the absence of a co-worker.

Effectively utilizes the pre-registration questionnaire.

Maintains positive interactions with referring offices, patients and FH associates.

Answers phones, handles calls and returns any messages in a timely, efficient and Friendly manner.

Accurately registers all patient demographic information.

Verifies physician order for procedure, diagnosis and exam specifics matches the exam we will be performing.

Ensures that the referring physician on the order matches what is in the system, if not updates this accordingly within workflow, appointment and demographics.

Correctly chooses the correct insurance code and accurately enters all policy, group and subscriber information.

Accurately scans in all documents or ensures documents are scanned in the RIS system within two hours of receipt of fax.

Documents verification procedure notes in the appropriate field within system to ensure front desk associates and technologists have this prior to patient arrival.

Coordinates add-on and STAT procedures with Center Director, technologist and Referral Coordinator.

Uses the appropriate channels to address patient or department concerns.

Burns and uploads CDs and prints film of patient exams.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications :

Knowledge of Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous assignments with frequent interruptions while paying close attention to the details.

Ability to work well under pressure with deadlines - sense of urgency.

Skill with interpersonal relationships and ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and outside contacts.

Must maintain current CPR certification at all times.If certification is not current at time of hire, the employee must obtain a valid card within their first ninety days.

Preferred qualifications:

Knowledge of outpatient radiology procedures, insurance authorization processes and call center metrics.

Medical terminology and office background.

Understanding of Coinsurance, Co-pay’s and deductibles and the ability to explain.
