BluePearl Pet Hospital is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Field Social Worker to join our team! This person will be responsible for supporting our East, Central and West Divisions!Pay: $70,259.00 – 94,371.00This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experienceThis position reports to the Manager of Social Work Operations. Our Veterinary Field Social Workers provide well-being support and training to assigned hospital(s) with a focus on emotional well-being, engagement, development of wellbeing practices and trainings. You will serve as a subject-matter expert regarding applicable social work ethics, procedures and guidelines.As a Field Social Worker, you will:
Serves as champion of the mission and vision of BluePearl and associate advocate in all interactions.
Owns all aspects of associate well-being for assigned hospital(s). Escalates complex or unique matters as appropriate.
Assists with the development and administration of well-being programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the needs of the workforce.
Builds strong working relationships with hospital management and partners with other regional leads to provide guidance and well-being support where needed.
Recommends associate well-being practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship.
Improves manager and associate performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating and providing potential solutions.
Consult with P&O/Senior Management regarding wellness of staff to enhance hospital functioning. Develop and present on topics of expertise such as compassion fatigue, stress management, work/life balance, communication skills, grief and pet loss.
Deliver informal debriefing individually or in groups.
Provide other short term interventions such assessment, referral for outside/EAP counseling, or additional internal resources

Experience Preferred:
Master’s degree in Social Work required, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.
3+ years of clinical social work experience in a medical, hospice or social services setting.
Prior experience with grief/bereavement and working in multi-disciplinary teams preferred.
Skills/Knowledge
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Able to provide services needed by clients and staff in an emotionally intense, fast-paced setting.
Able to patiently mentor social work interns while delegating tasks and teaching skills.
